Start Your Fall Stress Free With These 4 Tips

Summer is a time of rest and relaxation when people spend their afternoons and weekends lounging over a park picnic or reading a book by the poolside. The hot weather demands you to slow things down, drink a cold drink and forget about your troubles for a while.

Then fall arrives. The leaves lose their vibrant green, and the sky turns from a bright blue to a dull shade of grey. The wind gets chilly, the days get longer, the highway commutes get more congested and work starts ramping up for the impending holiday season. It can all get a little too stressful.

As this summer turns into fall, start it on the right foot. Here are four ways you can begin your fall stress-free… and keep it that way.

Work in Some Exercise Time

Some of the most potent mood-booster available to humans are known as endorphins. Release a few of these magically happy chemicals and you can go from stressed to blessed in a few instants. The best way to get your body to release endorphins is through physical exercise. It doesn’t have to be back-breaking or marathon-level exercise; just a bit of daily physical activity should be enough to brighten your mood, even during the gloomiest season.

Relax a Little With CBD

The non-psychoactive compound in cannabis, which can be extracted into oils or even a nice cup of tea, is well known now for its de-stressing qualities. You see it just about everywhere. If you aren’t interested in smoking cannabis or taking oils, though, you can check this out – cannabis teas and gourmet edibles that will help you relax. Just brew yourself a citrus-y cannabis tea and relax on the couch. Summer might be over, but not all the green leaves are gone.

Try Aromatherapy

Like cannabis, aromatherapy has a long history of helping people stay calm. It was used by the Ancient Chinese and Egyptians, who burned or steamed the resins of various botanicals to induce a state of relaxation. Nowadays, you don’t need to go forage for some balsam bark to reap the benefits; most spas and wellness stores will stock aromatherapy products. You can even get a diffuser for your home or office, to ensure a sustained supply of calming aromas.

Take Some of the “Best Medicine”

“Laughter is the best medicine” may be a slight over-exaggeration (medicine, in fact, is the best medicine), but that doesn’t mean there aren’t proven, potent benefits to laughter. Scientifically recognized as a powerful stress reducer, laughter is also good for your overall mental and physical health. Throw on a hilarious TV show, go see an improv troupe, or just get silly with some friends. The fall stress may be tough, but you’ll get the last laugh!

Don’t let fall stress you out. With some exercise, a mug of CBD tea, a scented candle and a funny show on Netflix, you can keep the chill vibes of summer going throughout the chilly weather.
